I wish companies would stop doing this. Peppermint is Peppermint and Cornmint is Cornmint. Peppermint oil ONLY comes from the botanical Mentha piperita. Corn...mint comes from Mentha arvensis. Cornmint oil has inferior odor quality and is typically about one third the price of Peppermint oil. In this case they do use the correct Latin name but they should not be calling it peppermint. Yes it’s true that arvensis oil that used to be produced in Japan was called Japanese Peopermint Oil. But no one in industry today refers to Indian Cornmint oil as Japanese peppermint oil. Nothing against this company but I wish companies would stop falsely advertising Cornmint oil as Peppermint oil because it confuses people and makes them think they are getting a higher quality product than they really are. Just my humble opinion. See more
