Times might be tough, but we're still spoiling our residents! A huge thank you to those who have stepped up to cover open shifts, work over time, and help out in any way possible! We couldn't do it without teamwork! THANK YOU!

Weekly community update for the week of January 18.

We've had the privilege over the past few days of hearing Carol from Life Enrichment play her accordion for our residents. Some clapped, sang, or tapped their feet as she played. It's been about a month now that we haven't had group activities in our main wing of the building because of COVID, so this music was welcomed and enjoyed by all! Thank you Carol for brightening our days! (She also walked around the hallways on Christmas day playing and singing Christmas carols!)

These chairs are ready to be filled again! We are excited to announce that our 2 hairdressers are scheduled to return next week if all goes as planned! Arlene will be here on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Bud will be here Friday mornings. Residents can make an appointment at the front desk to be placed on the schedule for either Arlene or Bud. One resident will be allowed in the beauty shop at a time. Thank you for your patience during this process!

Getting ready for Halloween by making our own pumpkin or cat masks. So many laughs and smiles as each one saw the finished product!

Our final butterfly emerged today and was ready to fly south. He was able to do some visiting before heading out.

October 8, 2020 Evergreen COVID-19 update.

Did you know that today is National Fluffernutter day? That gooey sweet sandwich consisting of peanut butter and marshmallow fluff between 2 pieces of bread! Many today had never heard of it and were surprised to hear that it dates back to the 1960's. So we each enjoyed making our own and learning about the history of this one-of-a-kind sandwich.

The residents in Memory Care have been busy with autumn crafts!

Chef Josh is working on creating a new menu for the residents. Here's 2 of the meals that will be included. 1. Turkey pot pie with roasted brussel sprouts. 2. Meatloaf with french green beans and scalloped potatoes.
