A family in a neighboring fire district has lost everything in a house fire that we assisted with earlier today. If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated by this family. Big thank you to Callicoon FD on the assist to our vehicle fire. CFD was able to quickly extinguish the flames allowing our units to return to service quickly. During weather events like we are currently experiencing its nice to have neighboring departments like callicoon to assist in our large coverage area when the road conditions can delay our response times. Thank you again CFD!

Our thoughts are with our part time members Danielle and Eric Shields along with our fellow brothers and sisters of their home department, Mastersonville Fire Dept. in Lancaster Co. after a horrific accident. We wish all involved a speedy recovery. Eric and Danielle are both ok, fortunately they were not involved in the accident.

As of 1:30pm on 12/16/20 Manchester Township Emergency Management has submitted a disaster declaration expiring 12/19/20 at 11:59 pm. This will have little to ...no effect on the residents of Manchester Township, this declaration will make it easier to access resources if need be during the storm and clean up essentially. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of founding member Jack Joyce and Long time member, Bill Gager. Both of these men will be greatly missed by all of the citizens of the Equinunk and surrounding areas.
