Well Folk's, I don't spend much time on Facebook, however this month is 10 Years in business. I started this discount Exhaust Hood System business in March, of 2009 Just 7 month's after the stock market crash. Businesses were closing every day, Car dealerships were closing every day. Banks were being gobbled up by Wells Fargo, Chase, City Bank, and Bank of America. I had little choice. I had been working in the commercial kitchen business for over 27 years, and was laid off ...for the first time. There was no way, I was going back to school at 48 years old. I decided to start a discount Exhaust System Company. I would simply specialize in only Hood System's, and Fire Suppression Systems. No equipment, No Ranges, or Fryer's. I figured if I specialized in just 2 items, I could hold down costs to my customers. Well, It worked ! I did just over $175,000.00 in 2009, and I am now hitting over $1,000,000.00 a year in sales in 2019 I have never had a derogatory blog written about us, in any way. Never had a bad post, about us, or even a bad review on Facebook. We have stood behind every single item we sell. I have over a 5% return customer base. I have several chain restaurants, and I give them 100% back up on what ever they need. I have customers call me a year or two after the sale, and ask for directions for repair and maintenance. I give it to them. When an inspector is asking questions that my customers can answer, I talk to the CODE officer's, and fix the issue. I consider myself to be in the " Food Service Industry " my competition is in the sheet metal industry. They will do anything to sell a hood on the spot. I will only sell a system if I know everything about there project, and have a floor plan, so I meet all CODE issues. ebay ? Do you know what you are buying ? I was just looking at ebay to check my prices, against my competition. I am so shocked to see ebay vendors taking advantage of the American public. I visited about 15 different sites on ebay. There are a ton of them selling way over the actual price of what the hood should cost. Part of this reason is the fee ebay charges the sales company to sell a hood system. It is a ton of money. The second thing I noticed was simply ripping cust...omers off blind ! One prominent ebay seller is selling all his hoods as a package with the exhaust hood, exhaust fan, and fire system. There is no " Make Up Air " on any of his packages. THIS IS NOT TO CODE, in any state in America. The other shocking thing is he is over 30% higher than simply buying a real hood system from a reputable dealer, that will meet CODE, in your state, and city. I feel this company is selling hoods to customers who simply do not speak English, or understand the many CODE laws, and regulations in a hood system. When you purchase a hood system on ebay, you are for the most part taking a very large chance. Don't take me wrong, I did in fact find several good deals on FANS, and a few used hoods, that did meet CODE. However the new hoods, are not a deal at all. I looked at a 6' X 48" X 24" Exhaust Hood, made in OHIO. It was $1,695.00 FREE FREIGHT to anywhere in the lower 48. The fact is, I can sell you a better hood for $1,295.00 same size, same options. That's $400.00 less !!! on one item. I saw a brand new 16'-0" hood, fan, and fire. I was $2,600.00 less on that item. It's your money, if you want to burn money, have at it. GW See more

Asking for CREDIT or FINANCING ??? OK, this is where it get's ugly ! I simply must tell you the truth. If you have bad credit, DO NOT ASK FOR CREDIT !!!!!! Honest to GOD. It is bad enough to call me, and demand, I give you a quote over the phone Right NOW, because you Millennials think you have priority, or are entitled to demand on the spot gratification. ... This being said, this will tell just how stupid you actually are. It is actually disheartening to find that the educational system in America gas failed our youth so badly. Let's get to the dirt real quick here. When I get a call from one of these demanding, and self entitled morons, I sometimes just hang up on them. I like when they call back immediately, and say, We must have been disconnected ? Let me explain. When you have a credit score of 400 You should NEVER ask anyone for credit. In fact, you should not be allowed to run a business. We do finance customers who have very low scores like a 590 to 610 is they can show they had a problem, or divorce or something that drug down there score, for a short period of time. But when you have a 400 score --- You are in fact telling me, and the bank, that you not only do not pay your bill's, but you actually don't even try. You are telling us, Just give me a hood system for $13,000.00, and I will never pay you a dime. Please let me SCAM you, because I am smarter than you are. I am serious. I would never wright a post like this. I simply have to. If this happened once or twice a year, I would never wright this post. That being said, I get these requests every week of the year. Here is where you definitely know these millennials are true morons. These Mensa Candidates, actually request credit from my competition, and get turned down flat. Then they apply for credit with us, and get turned down flat. Do you self important, narcissistic morons, actually get how credit works ? Do you understand there is a running report from 3 separate credit reporting agency's keeping track of everything you do. Do you have any idea that the credit or financing is from the same lender ? Do you know when you get a credit card from a local furniture store, it is the same bank as the local Home Depot credit card ? Did you ever hear of City Bank, Chase, Well's Fargo, Bank of America or AMEX ? If you cant figure out if you have a 400 credit score, to NOT apply for financing, GOD Help Us ! The public is being lied to" You have the right to know ! Who told the city, the health inspector has the right to say it is OK to open the concession stand ? What qualifications does the health inspector have to inspect a commercial kitchen ventilation system ? NONE. The public is being lied to by the city, and the press is lapping it up, because they themselves do not know the CODE IMC 2009/2012 There can be no carbon monoxide build up in any commercial kitchen, beca...use the exhaust hood system removes all smoke, gas, and grease. Even if the system was not turned on, the temperature sensors in the hood must turn on the hood system by CODE automatically, in all 50 states, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada. You can not turn off a hood system, because it has back up temp sensors installed by CODE to not allow a shut down while heat is present under the hood ! Only a mechanical inspector can say the kitchen is all clear to re-open. The health inspector knows nothing about kitchen ventilation systems. Where was the city, or county CODE inspector ? I have the right to know. I am going to investigate this 100%. The only way to shut down a hood system is to shut off the breakers, or the system was not installed per CODE to begin with. What were the contractors fixing yesterday ? Why was it in need of fixing ? If it was not operational, the kitchen should have never been permitted to open. Who issued a " C of O " or Certificate of Occupancy. Where was L & I, or Department of Labor, and Industry Inspection. This was a multi million dollar public facility, serving food to the public. Where is the C of O, and who was the inspector, other that who is the licensed mechanical contractor who installed the hood system ? Where was the Fire System installer inspection report in writing to the city, stating every single item to meet CODE was addressed, and tested. Where was the city, Balloon test performed and witnessed by a licensed inspector ? Is this hood new, or a used hood that is out of CODE ? I have the right to know.
