Pro detailer tip of the day... Automatic car washes can strip your car or suv of wax and expose your clear coat to numerous environmental hazards. Car washes use extremely hot water and abrasive chemicals to ensure the vehicles being washed come out clean. Think about it next time you're at a carwash behind that big 4x4 pickup truck covered in mud, top to bottom. After taking all that mud off, your car rides through next. Same settings, same brushes, etc. This also causes swirl marks in your paint.
