Weekend Update / Review Whew! What a weekend! Thanks so much for such a truly GOOD weekend All of these good, good things make the tiredness worth it :) Here's where we stand on various things...... - The picture below shows a table FULL of food!! Thank you SO unbelievably much for all of your donations to the local Food Pantry. The food will all be dropped off later this week. - We also raised over $70 in financial donations for the Food Pantry. That number may go up... keep reading ;) - We donated 1 tree to a family who wasn't going to be able to afford one on their own. The tree was picked up today by the family's Christmas Angel and will be delivered to them later this week. Thanks to the Anonynous Family for making that happen - As you may have seen in our updates from the weekend, we have secured the money for 1 additional tree from the Anonymous Family (your generosity is truly amazing ), and there's also the tree donated by the team at Roadside Bistro. We have feelers out in the county / community to get at least those 2 trees placed with families. If those leads don't pan out or if no one else expresses a need for a tree, the $70 for those two trees will be donated to the Food Pantry as well (which is why I said above that the financial total may increase). This decision is supported by the donors. - We still have a few trees! There's 5 trees sitting on the lot right now. They're Norway Spruce and Blue Spruce, and they're quite plump. - We also still have wreaths (only the smaller of the 2 sizes) and grave blankets. I have 3 undecorated grave blankets that I hope to have ready for next weekend. - Stay tuned for any changes to our hours that may be necessary due to the weather. As always, you can reach out to make an appointment to pick out a tree or any of our other offerings. I think that's everything I wanted to mention, but it's been a loooong weekend and I'm not even sure what my name is at this point The bottom line, though, is that this little community is AWESOME!! You stepped up the plate and knocked it out of the park - between the food donations, the cash donations, the trees that were donated and then at least 3 other individuals who said they'd cover additional trees if there was a need....... we are truly humbled by the generosity that is found in our community, and we are so glad that we can facilitate this sharing of the Christmas spirit to help out our friends and neighbors, especially with 2020 taking such a toll on everyone Be well, stay safe with the snow coming this week, and look for more updates from us as we get closer to the weekend
