Another picture from the Keystone International Livestock Exposition, just for fun. My cousin Nate Good from Shear Perfection Farm shows beautiful Southdowns, along with his daughter. He also is a professional shearer and competes every year at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in the sheep to shawl contest He is good at what he does - he often walks away with the shearer award. Also he is kind enough to let me come and help fit his sheep for competitions every now and then. Fi...tting is kind of an art form and I'm definitely a beginner. But basically we're trying to take off wool at just the right spots to make the sheep look long and full and well conditioned. To go along with it changing seasons, I'm changing my photography business name. Let's go with Flourish Farm Photography, sound good? I felt like that name was able to encompass what I love about farming, since every year we are able to watch the land around us flourish and provide food and so much more.... plus I love taking pictures for my clients and helping them flourish in their own businesses and farms, or watching families flourish as they grow.
