We are seeking a Site Work Estimator to join our growing Excavation team. Duties and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Chief Estimator.... - Read and understand site plans, specifications, and soil reports. - Prepare accurate site work and utility takeoffs utilizing Bluebeam, AGTEK, and Timberline Estimating. - Attend pre-bid meetings and site investigations. - Solicits and maintains communication with customer, vendors and subcontractors. - Demonstrates resourcefulness and creativity to gain the best pricing while understanding best value. - Reviews and understands bid scope and requirements thoroughly. - Notify the in-office project manager when the scope of work changes in the field. - Other duties as assigned. - Prepare plan sets for bidding, official office sets, and for the field. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Knowledgeable in the areas of site work to include: storm water management, grading, utility installation, and building footer excavation. - Knowledge of site work and excavation equipment. - Able to interpret plans, drawings, written instructions and specifications. - Ability to multi-task and take on multiple projects at once, high attention to detail and emphasis on producing presentation quality work. - Experience with AGTEK 3D/4D, Bluebeam, Timberline Estimating. - Exceptional communication skills: written and verbal. - Must be proficient with MS Office, have strong organizational skills, team player and a positive attitude. - Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. - Organized Individual committed to performing duties with detail and accuracy. - Have a thorough understanding of how to accurately read construction blueprints/ specifications. - Have a thorough understanding of computer programs used in estimating and scheduling along with Word/Excel and Outlook. - Field experience in site work/asphalt paving is a plus.
