WANTED: HORSE We are looking for a horse to add to our program family as a donation, free-lease or purchase (we do have a very limited budget). Please share this post. * Beginner horse about 15.3 hands with a solid build to handle some weight... * English or Western * Sound * Age - preferably above age 7 and under 20 but will consider other ages if it's the right horse * Quiet, bombproof, good with other horses in turn-out * TRAINED - NOT GREEN with arena and trail experience Please contact our Stable Manager, Kim Battin, at [email protected] if you have any leads or questions.

The FCTRC would like to thank the Chambersburg Area Civitans for having a Smith’s Chicken fundraiser and donation all the proceeds to us. They raised $1,700 for our program. We must give a shout out and a thank you to Kegerreis Outdoor Advertising for purchasing 51 chicken dinners for their employees to support the mission of FCTRC. We are so lucky to have the support of some wonderful local organizations and businesses.

The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center would like to send out a HUGE thank you to the former Fraternal Order of Eagles Pennsylvania State President Debbie McFerren for the funds that were raised by the F.O.E. auxiliaries all over Pennsylvania. Debbie presented our Director, Susan Rotz, with a check for $5,000!! You read that correctly...$5,000!! These funds could not have come at a better time considering we are still having to postpone our fundraisers because of the pandemic. This gift will help keep the program going into 2021. We could not be more grateful.
