Fellowship Baptist Church

Even during our current pandemic, life goes on. God is still sovereign and His love is everlasting. While the Covid-19 virus runs its course globally, we are all being strongly encouraged to practice something now known as "social distancing". Fellowship Baptist Church will be following the guidelines set forth by our government leaders as to do our part to stop the virus' spread. The first step for us will be the immediate cancelling of all worship services and ministries... until such time as it is determined that we can do so without putting others in danger. However, this does not mean that the Word of God or our love for the Lord, each other and our community shuts down, too. In order to get the Word of God to you, the pastor will be posting either voice recordings of his sermons or in time, live streams of his messages. You can find the links to those resources on this page. Also, if you have pressing physical needs, please contact the church through the office phone number listed on this website for prayer or material supplies for your family. With everything except "life-essential" businesses open, you may feel more isolated than normal. "Take Out" is the motto for life during this Coronavirus - get the food but don't linger for fellowship or contact. It feels unnatural for most to live without some physical contact and verbal dialogue, even if it's in passing. Remember that you aren't alone in that feeling. For that matter, you aren't alone at all. Jesus promises to never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). You can hear from God in His Word. Spend some time daily reading Scripture. If you are new to it, start in the book of John. Make sure during this time of quarantine that you reach out to your friends and family. As many Gen Z'ers (those 18 and under) are figuring out, they can talk on their phones, too. God created us to be social critters, yet we are being told to stay away from one another for a time. Don't hibernate or become as reclusive as Bigfoot. Phone your friends so you can hear them speaking to you. Use the video functions of your phone and computer to actually see the other in a conversation. Some family friends just challenged my family to a game of Pictionary over Zoom. If you are part of the church family, call others in your church family and see how they are doing. What are their struggles? You will find that you can forge many new bonds of friendship during this crisis if you reach out to others.
