Meet Valarie! Valarie has been a member at FitnessU for the last 6 years! She recently joined our FitnessU team as one of our weekend front desk workers! She spends so much time here anyway, she figured she might as well start getting paid for it! Please join us in congratulating Valerie for reaching an incredible milestone in her weight loss journey. Valarie has officially lost over 100lbs! We are so proud of her and we are so lucky to have her as part of our FitnessU family!
A HUGE congratulations going out to Curtis Burlingame, a Fitness U member and NPC competitor for competing in his first bodybuilding show! Curtis competed in ...the prestigious NPC natural Ohio yesterday in Lorraine Ohio at the Lorraine palace theater! There were over 100+ competitors in yesterday’s show with some of best talent seen to date! Curtis took 1st place in the bantam weight open bodybuilding class, 2nd place in the novice bodybuilding division and an incredible 4th place in a very, very competitive open division, in men’s classic physique! Curtis worked his butt off to earn these top 5 placings in his first bodybuilding show, with more to come as he competes next weekend, April 3rd, at the NPC Natural Eastern USA in Lyndora PA! Congratulations Curtis for a job well done! I’m sure there will be much more success from this talented competitor in the near future!
Let’s give a quick shoutout to our Creative Learning Childcare Director, Steph! Steph enrolled in our Weight Loss Challenge last month with a goal of losing 21lbs in 6 weeks to receive an additional 21(!!!) personal training sessions. Yesterday, she had her final weigh in... and she CRUSHED IT! Congratulations to Steph on all her hard work and dedication over the past 6 weeks! Let’s keep it going! Aright guys so now that the major holidays are done and over with, what goals have you set for yourself for the rest of the year? Is it weight loss or muscle ga...in? Let’s break down weight loss for a second... Let’s say you want to lose 20lbs and have 10 weeks to do it. If you drop a healthy 2 pounds per week that’s 20 lbs in your goal time! See how I broke up a big goal into a smaller, weekly goal? Putting on some muscle definitely takes some time, especially naturally... Let’s say over the course of the year you’d like to add about 15-20lbs of lean mass. You would need to put on about 1.5-2 pounds per month to reach that goal. That’s with a regimented schedule of strength training (not alot of cardio) and consistent eating. Hope that gave you some insight about how to go about your goals. Pm me if you have more questions
