Conservatives hate poverty, and that is why when you look at conservative poverty programs, they always start with the individual. Conservatives do not lift pe...ople out of poverty only because a person cannot be lifted out of poverty. Conservatives, instead, seek to help people lift themselves out of poverty - and once people have done so, they can be successful. Compare that with liberal programs. Liberals do not seek to end poverty, so much as to make it more comfortable. Democrats claim that they want to lift people out of poverty, but always by making them more dependent upon government, and dependent people cannot possibly rise out of poverty. At the same time, liberals attack the wealthy, whereas conservatives seek to remove barriers preventing people from gaining wealth. The truth is that conservatives hate poverty, whereas liberals hate wealth.
