Friends of Hillcrest Pond

Our annual donation drive letters have been mailed to every township resident. In the letter we are sad to announce that our Sunday 4/19/20 Sunday Family Fishday has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 emergency. Cisco Park and Hillcrest Pond are open. Trout season officially starts on Saturday 4/18/20. When using our parks please practice Pennsylvania and CDC guidelines so our outdoor activities can still be enjoyed. Visit the Springfield Township Parks and Recreation Facebook page to monitor what is happening at all of our township parks. It is our strongest wish and hope to see all of our township neighbors in the fall at Springfield Township Community Day.

Spring is finally here! That means fishing season has started! Here are some of the upcoming dates for Hillcrest Pond: * Sunday, March 24 - Stony Creek Anglers will be stocking the pond! * Saturday, March 30 - Opening Day for PA Southeastern Trout Season -FOHP Members will be at the pond to assist the kids! * Sunday, April 14 - Sunday Family Fish Day!!... - 12pm until 3pm -- fishing, prizes, fun for all... We will be at the pond tomorrow for Sunday Family Fish Day. The day isn't going to end up being a beautiful day like today but trout do love a cool rainy day. So buddle up and head on over to the pond 12-3, 4/15/18 and catch a trout!!!

Winter might have a grip on us right now but we will be posting our stocking and fishing schedule soon to remind us all to "Think Spring"
