As everyone is aware, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is under a Health emergency, not a State of Emergency. Since there is a difference, quads, 4 wheelers, side by sides and other off-road vehicle are not allowed to be operated on the roads. Rules for riding these vehicles are as usual. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has started, there has been an increase in the number of off-road vehicles being driven on the streets. The Commonwealth is now relaxing some of the restrictions ...and more people are going back to work, using the roads for the intended vehicle traffic. The Police Department has been receiving numerous complaints about off-road vehicles. The Police Department will start strict enforcement of quads on roadways up to and including off-road vehicles being impounded and operators being cited. We respectfully request that these off-road vehicles be kept off the highways and be driven where there were intended to be used. We are also requesting that since The Rails to Trails is being utilized on a daily basis by numerous individuals, that off-road vehicles be kept off Commerce BLVD in the Vision.
