Check out this heartwarming story from KOP volunteer - Sue: On Friday November 15th, McKenna (age and her mom came to the Adoption Center door. McKenna said she wanted to buy a present for the cats with her birthday money and I suggested a small bag of treats and showed her what the bag looked like. We had agreed they already had lots of toys. She came back with the big container of the treats! I let her give out some of the treats which made all of us happy . Such a sweet selfless little girl.

UPDATE: Buster is on the mend. He is eating on his own and has had his feeding tube removed. His foster said he is an absolute love bug! His wire needs to stay ...in for 6 weeks. Buster will be looking for a forever home!! Thank you for everyone that made this possible for Buster! I just wanted to thank everyone who donated, shared and sent well wishes. I am blown away by the generosity of friends, family and strangers that came together to get this poor guy the care he needs. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough! UPDATE: We believe Buster was hit by a car. He has some road rash and abrasions to support this theory. He will be having surgery on Thursday to wire his jaw. He is extremely uncomfortable right now. He is not eating on his own so he is being syringe fed, getting fluids and being kept comfortable with pain meds. Despite all of the trauma he has experienced he is an absolute love bug. I got a call about a cat bleeding and crying outside the park on 1700 S. 27th St after 11pm Sunday night. I was able to get him into a carrier with the help of some concerned neighbors. I took him to the clinic where we were better able to assess his situation. He stayed overnight at the clinic and was taken this morning to get xrays. He unfortunately has a fractured jaw. The vet stitched him up. We are hoping with lots of TLC he will recover. I am once again asking for donations. I can not tell you how many people reach out asking for help and I try to help every one that I can. Rescue is physically, emotionally and financially draining. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. If you can not donate please share.
