When we talked about this visit it became very apparent that the functions of Education Foundations vary a great deal. The Foundation for Boyertown Education recently approved a grant for more than $1700 to the BASH library for e-readers for students in grades 9-12. The grant will benefit more than 2000 students and the entire staff at BASH! Thank you for your generosity!! You are making a difference in the lives of students.

Even while visiting CO, our Executive Director, Tess Melchior, remains hard at work! She recently met with Josh Atherton, the Executive Director of the St. Vrain Education Foundation. Congratulations to Amanda Lutz! Your grant in the amount of $1295 for Links Curriculum has been approved! The purpose of this project is to provide instruction through a research-based curriculum for students with disabilities who need instruction in functional skills. Thank you to our amazing donors for making this grant possible! Your gifts make learning happen all year 'round!

The gifts you give as donors last well beyond the holiday season. Throughout the remainder of our Annual Appeal, we would like to share some of the grants funded by your generosity throughout 2020. The Foundation for Boyertown Education knows the importance of keeping the Boyertown Area School District among the best and brightest districts in the tri-state area. Building community collaborations is just one of the ways we promote our remarkable district. This special collaboration between St. John's Lutheran Church, Boyertown; The Foundation for Boyertown Education; the BEST Program, and Boyertown Area Multi-Service addresses the world-wide pandemic right here at ho...me. The students from the Boyertown Employment Skills Training (BEST) program tye-dyed masks for the recipients of the Meals on Wheels Program of the Boyertown Area Multi-Service. St. John's was kind enough to donate the masks to the foundation enabling this project to happen. As you will see from this short video clip, the skills these students were able to gain from this project will help them at home and in the workplace. Without community partners like these, the foundation would not be able to facilitate the awesome learning opportunities for these BEST students.
