AVAILABLE Monteego is a 2006 15 hand chocolate Kentucky Mountain Horse. By LHF Duke and out of LHF Mollie. Teego has been ridden extensively as a trail hor...se on numerous types of trails. He rides out alone or in company. He navigates trails extremely well no matter the terrain: hills, rocks, sand, dirt, mud, puddles, creeks, bridges, fallen trees. He has been ridden many miles on the road encountering all types of traffic to include cars, trucks, tractor-trailers, log trucks, dump trucks, farm equipment, bicycles and motorcycles. He has always done well with whatever comes along including dogs, cows, deer, chickens or running children. He goes great barefoot but has been ridden with shoes or easy boots when doing rides on consistently rough trails. He loads himself on the trailer and will back off or turn around inside and quietly lead off. He stands in crossties or ties on a highline. Will stand for bathing. Stands well for farrier and the vet. He will gait, walk, trot and canter. He is an easy keeper and requires little to no grain. He is up to date on shots and worming, has a negative coggins and has had his teeth floated. He is great out with other horses in the pasture or out on a tie line when camping on the trails. Located in meadville, pa Priced at 7000

I have to take a moment and put this out there to express my gratitude and appreciation for all of the staff and friends that have helped out at the stable lately. This is a long post but, no one ever gets the recognition they deserve in this fast paced industry and we truly need to let the world know what sort of people we have here in our circle. We have been short an AM feeder for over a month and recently our dearest Kara, cherished stall girl, had to take a few weeks o...Continue reading

Fixed up sign Fixed and graded driveway (Thanks Blooming Valley Landscape/Jason Howles!) Installed a CowTrac in the indoor arena! Brought water to the "othersiders"... Bought some corrientes, then acquired a dog-cow named Jojo Finally got a new 4-wheeler - makes life 1000 times easier around here! New arena drag (Thanks Colby!) & arena flags! Have 3 personal mares due - and lots of boarded mares due in spring! Going to be a baby boom around here come March/April! Standing our homebred, homeraised FS Bullys Fireball (Sorrel filly is first foal!) & our newly acquired pride, Metallic It to public for 2021! She is young, she is old, she’s every age. She’s a daughter, a mother, a sister, a wife. She’s a horsewoman, a cattle woman, a farmer, a veterinarian. She’s a b...ookkeeper, housekeeper, and keeper of secrets and stories. She makes traditions, and she bucks tradition. She cooks, she cleans, she breaks horses and breaks the dirt. She wears high heels and cowboy boots and gym shoes. She wears slacks, dress suits, and blue jeans. She has a manicure. She has dirt under her nails. Her home smells like bread and stew and cow manure. She spends her days tending to babies, to her fields, to her livestock, to the paperwork, and to her family. She prepares meals, prepares speeches, and prepares the machinery for more work. She isn't afraid to get covered in dirt, in grease, or sweat, but loves being pretty and clean. She drives a tractor, a combine, a team, an old feed pickup and an SUV. She’s every woman who is growing up ranching or farming, who is running her own operation, or who works in town to keep the dream alive. Her boots might not set foot in the field or her butt in saddle every day, but she’s agriculture, through and through. She’s watched calves be born, lambs die, nursed colts and puppies and barn kittens back to life. She’s planted crops, waited for them to sprout, and prayed for rain. She’s prayed for sunshine, good harvests, good prices, and good health. She’s weathered the storms, and rallied. She’s you, she’s me, she is every single woman who believes that agriculture is one of societies' greatest pursuits. She believes in providing food for others, in taking care of her livestock and her ground, and being a steward of the land. To all the women in agriculture, thank you for sharing your love of this lifestyle with the rest of the world. May you continue to work hard, out in front or behind the scenes. You may go unseen, but not unnoticed. Your work ethic, your heart, and your ability to persevere is inspiring to so many. With Love, Richelle

Next up on the #quarentinetransformations list: THE FENCE. We tore down the last of the dilapidated split rail 2 years ago and let the ground heal. This year we made a commitment to erecting a safe, sturdy and entirely new electric fence system. It started out as a small renovation to the run in sheds and quickly turned into endless loads of gravel, next the posts, then the wire. We went from 3 back turnout paddocks in 2019 to 8 total turnouts, 4 with runs and 4 without in 2020. Such a huge change for us! Having these new fences and extra space to split up horses has been a blessing and contributed greatly to our growth! Special thanks to endless days and long nights with Colby, Kyle, Dylan and Rocco. Couldn't have done it without.

Countdown day... 5? 4... we missed a day. Oh well! This project was big enough for two days anyways! Next on the #quarentinetransformations list: THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM. This one is self explanatory, but a little background- this place is WET. There has never been a shortage of mud in NWPA but Four Seasons is lucky enough to sit on top of a cluster of natural springs. Over the years they started ERUPTING all over behind the barn and making ponds and pools and low spots every...where causing more mud and slush and an infamous "poo pond" in front of our manure pit ... all with no where for it to drain. 2020 was the year for fixing the drainage at whatever the cost.. I actually had to buy my own excavator for this project (best money ever spent) because by the time I was done crunching the numbers... renting one for the duration of this project would have cost me more than double the price! This system wraps the entire way around the stable and all 3 outbuildings. It took endless 12 hour days in that excavator seat and MANY mistakes made, and corrected, and then made again. I (Alexis) did this project about 80% myself (with the extra help coming from Kyle and Colby on their days off) with very little knowledge of how these systems worked, but by the time I was done, I had learned so much... I can't even describe the fulfillment. The best part - it works. We haven't had ONE flooding or pooling or any water problems whatsoever this year and even now into the winter. Looking forward to see how it holds up in the spring! This was one MAJOR project with many highs and lows, but if I learned anything - it's that hard work and determination always perseveres! Doing it myself VS hiring this job out: the difference of approximately 40k - 50k. Huge thanks to: Blooming Valley Landscape & Supply Bobcat of Erie Interstate Pipe Meadville RediMix - Keborts My neighbors for listening to endless noise for 2 months. May and June 2020
