September 2nd 1963 57 years ago today Donna Ma Mims, driving an Austin Healey Sprite won the Class H Production Race in Thompson, Connecticut, US to become the first woman to win a SCCA Class Championship.

"If there isn't a Tornado on track, then we are" Woke up missing Stephen Michael Weber this morning. Not really sure what triggered this, but decided I would sh...are the story of how we met. In 2014, my company requested I went to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the month of July to cross train. Being me, I started looking for cool things to Photograph. I found the PVGP and reached out to the media director for access. Steve called me, I am positive to tell me no, and we spent the next hour talking about how amazing and unique the race is, then him driving limo's, and buses, and the furniture store. Before we got off the phone, I had him convinced to look at my portfolio before making his final choice. Couple days pass, Steve calls and lets me know my badges will be waiting for me. I get to PA, and 3 weeks into my assignment, I drive across state to Pittsburgh in a monsoon. Upon arriving at the paddocks I meet Bill Stoler and he is kind enough to show me the ropes of the paddocks and driver diner. The next morning it is raining to be beat the band, and I am heart broken because I had never seen a non pro race run in rain this hard. I walk up and meet Steve, and he laughs at me. I spend the next couple days shooting and the next 3 years shooting the race, and listening to his stories in the evenings.
