What a difference two weeks makes! The kale our SS P.E. Farmers and JS and CDS Pre-K friends planted before spring break is getting stronger every day. Even with all of the uncertainty of this extended closure, we know we’ll all keep going and keep growing as a community. #ssadistancelearning #ssatogetherapart

Due to the extended closures in PA, our Director of Farms took a grow light, a heat mat, and a few 200+ kale seedlings home with her last week. Each day new ones have sprouted - stretching towards the light and growing stronger. It’s hard not to feel like there’s a metaphor in there, especially during these difficult times. And so, we hope everyone is staying safe, finding community, and reaching towards the light.

This morning our Pre-K friends made homemade applesauce using a food mill. Check out those muscles working hard!
