FRENCH CREEK VALLEY VIEWS August 13, 2020 Dear Members of the FCVAEC ... To say the least, 2020 has been memorable and has seen a lot of firsts. I hope you are all well and staying as safe as your daily life will allow. As I am sure you are aware, the State of PA has continued limiting the sizes of gatherings and has made it impossible to have any of our events, shows, or meetings. I have been in contact with the Club Directors and we are all in agreement that our End of the Year Meeting and Ice Cream Tour will have to be canceled. Under these unprecedented circumstances, the Directors also voted unanimously to Freeze the current slate of Officers and Postpone the Election of Officers until the first meeting of 2021 this able to be held without restrictions. Notifications and updates will be most frequently sent via email and on facebook. If you would like to be added to the email list, please let either Diana Kutruff or myself know. We will be sending out a letter prior to our first meeting, to the best of our ability. The Club will be needing a couple of members to step into new rolls when we are able to reconvene as Bev Hart, our club Secretary for the last 16 years, will be stepping down. As with all our officers, she has given her time graciously and I personally cannot thank her enough for making my job easier. If anyone is curious about may be involved int the Secretary's position, please let me know. I'm sure Bev will help me answer the questions that I'm not familiar with. We will also be needing a director (or possibly two, depending on the election and officer volunteer numbers). Usually, the Directors don't get pressed into service often, but the Directors have been invaluable this year to guide the club thru the turns of the year and make the decisions that were needed, on behalf of the members. Thank you all for your prompt responses, guidance, and ideas. One other topic for our first/next meeting... we will have to decide how to handle the 2020 Feature. Suggestions have been made to do a Double Feature for 2021 or to Reschedule to 2022 (or later). Please think it over and we can discuss it at our next meeting. On a sadder note, we have had several members pass during the year. Our sympathies are with the families and cards expressing our condolences have been sent. If someone knows of a member who has passed and it was missed, please let me know. I would like to have a reading names and a moment of silence at the beginning of our next full meeting remembrance. Again, I thank you all for patience and understanding this year and hope that 2021 is a much less eventful year that will allow us to gather together and enjoy our friendships and our hobby. Sincerely, Alan M. Steadman, President

JUST A REMINDER OFFICIAL NOTICE FROM PRESIDENT ALAN To the members of the FCVAEC. Due to the continued covid-19 pandemic, we find ourselves in an unfortunate situation. Because of group size and state mandates, we will be unable to have our May meeting. Following a discussion with the directors, we came to a decision that without the May meeting, it will be impossible to have our Summer show.... Continuing concerns regarding social distancing, liabilities, and the welfare of our members were also topics. The directors & officers are hopeful that by the end of summer, we will be able to get back to normal and hopefully have some sort of social event and end of year meeting. We hope everyone has a safe summer and we will continue to inform you via social media and email as soon as we are able to make any plans. Sincerely, The 2020 Officers of the FCVAEC.
