Recently I found myself falling into the trap of comparison (again). Measuring myself against certain people around me. Does that ever happen to you? It’s a crummy place to be! I do so much better when I’m actively standing guard at the door of my mind - taking every thought by the scruff of the neck to make sure it aligns with what Jesus says, and if it doesn’t casting the thought aside. That, and cultivating gratitude leads me to live much more consistently in contentment a...nd joy, and who doesn’t want that? take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Cor. 10:5 Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life. Galatians 6:4 (MSG) God is most glorified in me when I am most satisfied in Him. -John Piper

Perhaps this season of extra time at home together has helped strengthen your relationship and increased your appreciation of one another.
