PIN OAK (Quercus palustris) The Pin Oak is a deciduous tree and a dominant species in East due to its pyramidal habit and ease of transplanting. It does well at Old Crow because it is fast-growing (more than 2 feet per year), tolerates wet soil (including moderate flooding), and is ideal for full sun.
