Thanks to everyone who took time out of their busy day on our Clean Up Day on April 24th, Lake Afton is ready for the increased activity during the summer.

After a great Clean Up Day yesterday, I went over today to get a few pictures to show how wonderful it looks. A huge thank you, again, to all of the generous people who shared some of their time, energy and expertise yesterday to spruce up our beloved Lake Afton.

With winter weather here, food is scarce for our feathered friends. We (Friends of Lake Afton) are asking that people not feed them bread. The reasons why bread is bad for them as well as alternative choices are listed below. Thank you!

Lake Afton has been a quiet source of comfort for many during this COVID pandemic. Our beloved Lake Afton looks FANTASTIC this year, thanks to Clean-Flo International’s natural, biological algae treatments. These yearly treatments, which Lake Afton has received every year since 2016, include natural bacteria and enzymes to help control the awful algae we’ve had in the past. The essential treatments are expensive but are working. By the end of December, 2020, FOLA will have ...paid Clean-Flo $15,000 for the algae treatments. FOLA needs donations to continue with our successful algae control. If we pause, even briefly, the ugly algae infestations and unhealthy water will reappear. Without donations, Lake Afton’s health will be in jeopardy. Please help us so that the treatments will be uninterrupted so that we may continue to enjoy Lake Afton, our precious town jewel. SEE BELOW HOW YOU CAN CHARITABLY DONATE TO FOLA AT NO EXPENSE TO YOU WHEN YOU ORDER FROM AMAZON.

Donations will allow FOLA to continue with our successful algae control. Thanks to effective, although expensive, algae treatments Lake Afton looks AMAZING this year. Our town jewel, Lake Afton, has been a quiet source of comfort for many during this COVID pandemic.

The egg that Piper laid yesterday is on the left, which is the size egg she’s been laying, versus today’s egg on right. WOW!!

Thank you, volunteers, for helping to plant 200 daffodil and tulip bulbs, add compost and doing some light weeding. Thanks to you, we're looking forward to seeing beautiful flowers around Lake Afton in the spring. Below is a picture of Luca Frederico, one of our hard working volunteers yesterday. Thank you, Luca! Thank you, Marna Matthews, for organizing and running yesterday's bulb planting event.
