The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is once again hosting a one day river clean up day, April 17 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. News: The Park's Watergate Restoration Project has begun! This project will restore the Watergate area on the New Jersey side of the Park to its natural habitat, which will be great for the wildlife and ecological health of the area.

Opossums are the only marsupials (pouched mammals) in North America. Our beautiful Delaware Water Gap N.R.A. provides a wonderful habitat for this fascinating animal. The 2021 Friends of DWNRA Calendar is now available! The cost is $20 a piece. However, if you are a member of the Friends or of the Pocono Photo Club, the cost is $15 a piece. They are available locally at Regina Farms, 5181 Milford Road, East Stroudsburg PA (in Middle Smithfield Township on US 209 near Hollow Road) until Dec 24th. After that Regina Farms closes for the winter. There are 3 options for getting your 2021 calendars. Option 1: Send a check with your request... for a calendar(s) to the Friends; Friends of DWGNRA, PO Box 98, Bushkill, PA, 18324. Include your email and mailing address to have the calendar(s) mailed to you or you can let us know that you will pick them up at Regina Farms. If you are going to pick them up, the Friends will have them in an envelope with your name on it at Regina Farms prepaid for you to pick up. We will email you when the envelope is there for you. Option 2: Prepay on the Friends website, Friendsofdewanps.org, by using the Donate button. Then drop us an email (there is a Contact Us option) telling us the donation you just made is for a calendar(s). Same as option 1, let us know how you want the calendar(s) delivered -- mailed to you (include your mailing address) or you will pick them up at Regina Farms (we will email you when they are ready to be picked up). Option 3: Go directly to Regina Farms and pay when you pick them up. If you are a member of the Friends or PPC, it is best to ensure they are available for you at the $15 price to drop an email to [email protected] saying you are with the Friends or Pocono Photo Club and want to reserve x number of calendars to be picked up at Regina Farms. We will put them in an envelope for you and note that you will pay when you pick them up. We will let you know when they are ready to be picked up.

This fall has been pretty spectacular this year!!

The Friends of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area are pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 calendar contest in conjunction with the Pocono Photo Club. First place goes to Carole Ludwig for her photo of the "Mini" falls in Childs Park. It will also be the cover of the calendar. Second place goes to Rick Nelson for his photo of the fox pup. Third place goes to Bob Hare for his photo of a beautiful red sky near the DWG Appalachian trail head. The balance... chosen for the calendar as honorable mentions are listed below. We could have easily chosen another set from the submissions, many of which were difficult to leave behind. The Friends of DWGNRA would like to sincerely thank the members of the Pocono Photo Club for their partnership in this event.
