With a hint of fall in the air, it was a great morning for our fourth and final Mini Love Your Park cleanup today. A fantastic group of 15 or so members, many of them new- showed up and did an amazing job sweeping, mulching, weeding, pruning and planting. The park is looking great...THANK U one and all for helping it get that way! Mark your calendars for an ‘in park’ workout on October 10th @ 9am, led by Marko Nestorovski. It will be geared to all levels, lasting about ...45 minutes. More details to follow. Additionally, the city IS planning on having the traditional end of year, Love Your Park on November, 14th. More information as it becomes available shall be shared. In the meantime, come and enjoy Palumbo Park!

For many years, our Friends group has relied on sweat equity and city support to keep up with our park needs. We are grateful to have such engaged members (recent photo below). However, with the cutback of both city services and grants due to COVID-19 we are, for the first time, finding it necessary to add the capability to accept donations on palumbopark.org (click donate)! We encourage neighbors, business owners, and park patrons to consider financially supporting par...k needs to ensure we can continue to provide an ever-important well maintained public space. Funds would be used to purchase additional tools such as push brooms and dust pans; make minor repairs; produce safe, smaller-scale park events; fund tree pruning and removal to ensure the continued safety of park users; purchase perennials as needed; and pay for our very modest admin systems expenses. The park group meets periodically and is actively re-prioritizing these needs based on park conditions and external support (or lack thereof). Thanks for considering!

We are proud to count several cultural institutions and galleries as neighbors, and it is exciting to see further artistic enrichment of our part of Bella Vista, through the arrival of this new mural - witness its installation starting next week! Details here:

Just a friendly reminder, we will be having our third of the summer Mini Love Your Park clean up tomorrow morning, Saturday, August 22 beginning at 8:30. Come on out with friends and family. All are welcome. We have some tools and gloves but if you have any we always encourage you to bring them. And don’t forget your masks! Hope to see you there!
