Today is National Ag Day. Thank you to all the hard working individuals and businesses that feed and cloth our families, produce too many products we use every day to list, supply us with the equipment and technology we need, teach our kids, and are a VITAL part of our communities! SUPPORT LOCAL agriculture as much as possible. They are your neighbors! Together, we are the community.

PA maple weekend is this weekend. Although we are not officially on the tour list, we will be around the sugarhouse tomorrow afternoon and evening if anyone would like to stop in. Gathered about 2000 gallons of sap tonight and will start boiling tomorrow around 1 pm. Get your syrup hot off the press! It will be a great day to get out and see the sap run so bring your boots if you want to go to the woods. (Very short walk from the sugarhouse) Those of you who visited in the fall may want to come and smell the sweetness of spring!

Best run of the year so far! Collected about 2500 gallons of sap since last night. Hope to turn that into about 53 gallons of syrup tonight! Incase your wondering, that's 47.17 gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup.

Never have I ever....... tapped trees on 3-14. North face tappin'! Thanks to the Pine Top Farm crew for letting us tap your woods and helping out today! Hopefully we can make enough to keep these boys stocked up! We have made about 130 gallons so far this season and our sugar content is averaging around 1.9. Keep an eye out for nights we will be boiling! We'll keep you posted.
