Fuller Hose Co# 1

Just before 5:00 am Fuller Hose was dispatched to E Lake Rd and Gay Rd for a reported vehicle fire. Chief 201 arrived on location reporting a working fire. Engine 204 arrived and stretched the front bumper line to extinguish the fire. Tanker 206 staged behind the Engine for water supply if needed. The fire is being investigated by Fuller Hose and PSP. Chief 201 had the East Lake Rd command.

Just before 5:00 AM Fuller Hose was dispatched for a vehicle fire in the area of East Lake Road and Gay Road. Assistant Chief 201 arrived on scene reporting a working fire. Engine 204 arrived and stretched the 1.75 bumper line to extinguish the fire while also gaining access to the engine and passenger compartments. Tanker 206 arrived and stood by as additional water source. PSP is investigating the incident.

Just after 9:30 Fuller Hose was dispatched to assist Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company with a structure fire on Route 89. Engine 204 and Tanker 206 responded. Crew from the engine pulled a 2.5 line to the C side and handle an exposure fire on a motor home, while 206 supplied water. Crews were on scene for the duration of the fire. Other departments on scene with Greenfield were: Crescent Ladder 209 and Squad Kuhl Hose Engine 683 and Tankers 685 & 686... Just after 3:00 pm Fuller and Crescent Hose Company were dispatched to Dill Park Rd for a reported structure fire. Chief 201 arrived on location reporting smoke visible from a 2 story structure. Engine 202 arrived and stretched a cross lay and secured their own water supply. Once inside crews found a small fire in the kitchen and extinguished the fire. Ladder 209 arrived just after the engine and assisted with opening up the wall and ventilating the structure. Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company Squad 707, Brookside Fire Co. St 24Ladder 249 and Kuhl Hose Fire DepartmentEngine 683 were also dispatched but cancelled enroute and assisted with a vehicle accident at S Lake and Wellington.

Today members of the Fuller Hose Water Rescue Team and the West Lake Fire Department held a joint ice rescue drill at Eaton reservoir. Crews reviewed ice rescue skills and the use of West Lakes Ice Boat.

Just after 3:00 pm Fuller Hose was dispatched for RIT to Pearl Ave in Wesleyville for a reported structure fire. Engine 204 and Utility 219 arrived with a crew of 8 and set up on the A/D Corner per command. After a short time the team was released and crews returned. Units on Scene Wesleyville -E-304 Fairfield - Engine 263... Brookside - Engine 244 Chief 300 had the command.

Just after noon Fuller and Crescent Hose Company were dispatched to assist the Coast Guard for a report of something floating in the water off of Shorewood Drive. Chiefs 210 & 211 responded to the area while utility 219 and boat 215 reported to Freeport Beach to launch. The item was determined to be a fixed buoy in the water. Tonight for drill members of Fuller Hose, Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company, and Brookside Fire Co. St 24 worked on rural water movement. Tankers 206 and 715 supplied a port a tank to Rescue 708 and supplied Tower 249. Thanks to our mutual aid companies for coming out tonight.

Just before 4:00 am Fuller Hose was dispatched to assist Ripley with a reported structure fire. Engine 204 arrived on scene with a crew of 6 and assisted with fire suppression in the basement. Once the fire was knocked down crews split up and checked for extension on the 1st and 2nd floors of the structure.

Just after 2:00 am Fuller Hose was dispatched to the 8600 blk of Station Rd for a reported structure fire. Chief 201 arrived on location with smoke visible. Engine 202 arrived and stretched a line to extinguish the fire. Crescent Hose Company Ladder 209 arrived and ventilated the structure and open up the wall in the A/D corner. Greenfield Township Volunteer Fire Company staged with Engine 704 and Tanker 715, Harborcreek Fire Department staged with T-225 and Kuhl Hose Fire Department E-683 held the RIT assignment.
