The Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department remains dedicated to the community we serve and continues to provide the best possible service we can. These two units will be replacing a unit that has already failed and one that was declining and beginning to fail. Due to Covid and lack of fundraising your donations and financial support are more important now than they ever have been. The Friday night reopening of Bingo for November 6th has been cancelled as we prepare for a final farewell to our lifetime member and friend Bobby Monn. One of the bad things this pandemic has brought on us is a lack of Public Relation events. Paramedic North was super excited to participate in The First Responders Trunk or Treat at the Chambersburg Mall tonight. Awesome job by all the companies and event coordinators that attended. Ursula is already hoping to return next year!!!

HAPPY EMS WEEK!!! This week we say thank you to our entire EMS Team here at the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department. Usually this week is full of events and activities to thank these amazing providers but due to the Covid-19 outbreak most of these have been cancelled. These providers work day in and out to make sure that the public has the best access to pre-hospital medical care as possible. On your worst day this team is prepared to be at its best! We ask that if you see our providers or any other departments providers you stop and thank them for their dedicated and professional service. Even in this trying and rapidly changing time of being on the front lines, our providers will remain EMS STRONG!!!

Slow the Spread grants provided by WellSpan Community Health Program and the Summit Endowment were established to help our comm...unity partners navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department EMS and Shippensburg EMS are just two of these community partners that have been awarded this grant and plan to use it for advanced medical treatment supplies and remote sterilization systems. Thank you WellSpan Health!!! Because of a grant through the WellSpan Health "Slow the Spread" program we are able to purchase the Ambu-Stat Decontamination System. This will assist us in protecting the community and our staff during this Covid-19 crisis and throughout the future. We should be receiving this wonderful piece of equipment in the upcoming weeks but we couldn't wait to share our thanks to the WellSpan Healthcare System. This gesture and support shows that WellSpan wants what is best for its community, patients, and healthcare partners! The FVFD would like to give a big shout out to Lowes in Chambersburg PA for their DONATION of Hand Sanitzer for our providers and members. This will be used on our ambulances when washing our hands isn’t an option and around the department to keep our staff and members safe!

The FVFD would like to give a big shout out to Burger King on Lincoln Way East Fayetteville for their DONATION of over 100 cardboard chicken nugget containers for our providers to safely store their masks in during the CoVid19 Pandemic.

PPE DONATION REQUEST!!! Good evening everyone, as you all know we are in the midst of something the modern healthcare industry has never faced. However the men and women of this department are dedicated to providing the community with the best and safest service we can provide. With the Personal Protective Equipment shortage right now we are facing a problematic future as face masks and gowns are unable to be obtained. We are asking the community for help. We are looking for ...donations of these items from anyone with a supply of them that can spare some. If for some reason we receive a larger amount we will be sure to spread them around to other departments in the area. EMS Update! It is our mission to protect and serve our community to the best of our ability. With health concerns of the Coronavirus changing hourly, we have made decision today to close public access to our Billing Office, Tours, Large Group CPR and First Aid Classes, PR events and Car Seat Safety checks will be by screened appointment only and limited to Newborns. This decision was not made lightly, but we need to protect and keep our staff safe so we can continue to care f...or our community.
