Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the South Media Fire Company as well as Chief Clancy’s family and friends.

Around 0930 hours, township companies along with Engine 14 and RIT 17 were dispatched to the unit block of Leslie Lane for a building fire. Chief and Ladder 65 were quickly on the street. Chief 65 arrived to find trees and wires down on top of a shed with smoke showing. Ladder 65 arrived next and stretched a hand line to the rear yard. Engine 14 arrived and secured a water supply to the ladder. The fire was quickly brought under control and the assignment was scaled back. Chief 65 had the Leslie Lane command.

While throughout the house not a creature was stirring, the township companies were out answering multiple calls. The company handled several calls throughout the night ranging from water rescues, accidents, and wires down.
