I’ve learnt that no one is too small to make a difference. - Greta Thunberg #HorsesHeal #NoActTooSmall #Community #YouMatter #UnbridledChangemakers #UnbridledChange

"62 percent (of healthcare workers) say worry or stress related to covid-19 has had a negative effect on their mental health. A 55 percent majority feel 'burned out' going to work. Nearly half of all health-care workers say worry or stress has caused them to have trouble sleeping or to sleep too much." We are proud to offer Horses for Heroes to clinical and non-clinical essential workers. Please reach out through our website if you are interested in scheduling your session. ... Spring is here and we are looking forward to having you join us for a number of exciting projects! We are looking for 10 volunteers to sign up to join us April 24th from 10am-2pm. We hope to continue our Sunday "special projects" once per month throughout the rest of the year! All volunteer activities will be completed outdoors and socially-distanced. Masks are required upon entry on the farm! Join us as we build and beautify our community space with flower gardens, fire rings, fresh coats of paint, and tending to our creek and wooded areas! To sign up or for more information contact [email protected]. Thank you for sharing your time with Gateway HorseWorks! #HorsesHeal #CommunityStrong #Volunteer #UnbridledChangemakers #UnbridledChange

Special thanks to Rep. Kristine Howard of the 167th District for taking the time on this cold April day to visit our herd and farm! We are always grateful for the opportunity to discuss accessibility and equine-assisted mental health care for all in our community.

Did you know that volunteers are an essential element of our day to day operations at Gateway HorseWorks? This month we are shining the volunteer spotlight on Alice! We are so lucky to have Alice as a part of our core Volunteer team. She has been volunteering with Gateway HorseWorks since 2019 and assists our staff in horse care and various farm chores every week. Alice is an amazing photographer who enjoys traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She's even gotten her partner, Tom, to lend a helping hand on more than a few occasions! If you are interested in becoming a core Volunteer team member, reach out at [email protected]! #CommunityStrong #Gratitude #VolunteerSpotlight #UnbridledChangemakers #UnbridledChange
