A Note from Pastor Dave: In-person Worship is Returning! At the Session meeting on Mar. 14, the Session decided to resume in-person worship beginning on Sunday, Apr. 11, which is Laity Sunday. ... We will have two worship services, Contemporary at 9AM and Traditional at 10:30AM. We will use the same rules we were using in the Fall- masks, social distancing, door open, no bulletins or hymnals, with overflow space available. We look forward to seeing many of you soon! A Letter Regarding In-Person Worship Pause: "GPC Friends, On Monday, Nov. 30, the Session voted to pause in-person worship for now, going back to one live-stream only service at 10AM on Sunday mornings as we did in the Spring. This decision was prompted by the recent surge in coronavirus infections in our area which is expected to continue in the coming weeks. We received input from our staff and medical professionals in making this hard decision..." (A copy of the full lett...er in attached photos) For Livestream Worship: 1. During this winter storm let us not forget those without home, and those who leave home to keep roads cleared & emergency services open... Join us in prayer, "Gracious God we are reminded how beautiful creation can be when we see scenic landscapes being blanketed under falling snow. Help us amid the safety and security of our homes to remember those who are without home we are thankful for places like Gettysburg CARES which provides shelter and warmth from the cold, and we... ask that those who are outside on a night like tonight will find safe haven. While we have the luxury to stay inside on days & nights like these, we are reminded of those whose jobs call them to plow through the weather keep safe and alert all road workers who are on call during this storm. While we are safe and snug inside, help us not forget those who keep others safe by providing medical assistance - we pray for hospital, nursing home and emergency personnel who are on call to meet the needs as they arise. In your Holy Name, Amen. See more

Sunday we will look at the story of the Prodigal Son (probably Jesus' best-known parable). We're going to take a closer look at it for the next three Sundays. What we find may surprise you. We begin this Sunday 1/17 with a look at the younger son. How might you be like him? (Image: The Prodigal Son by He Qi) Join us for the livestream or archive worship.
