One of my favorite parts of co-facilitating Expedition Norway with Darby and Taya was the opportunity to collaborate and connect with such a broad cross-section of Gettysburg’s campus community. Our group consisted of Gettysburg students, alumni, faculty, and staff. During the Expedition, we also had the opportunity to connect with faculty and staff at the University of Tromsø (one of Gettysburg’s global study affiliated exchange partners). Although many of our group members... didn’t know each other terribly well before the start of the Expedition, our whole group benefitted the unique perspectives, experiences, and interests each participant contributed. I can’t liemeeting 300 huskies at once was a ton of fun. But getting to know each participant individually in the context of such an incredible and unique environment was without a doubt the highlight of my experience. -Kim Longfellow . . .
