The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 10:00pm tonight until 10:00pm Sunday. 3-5 of snow is expected. *Residents... and visitors are reminded that any on street parking is strictly prohibited with any accumulation of snow, sleet, slush and/or ice per Borough ordinance.* Keep the following tips in mind: *Always clean your windows and mirrors FULLY of any snow and ice before driving. *Keep a full tank of gas. *Ensure fluid levels are sufficient (windshield washer fluid, ant-freeze). *Ensure your spare tire is sufficient, and you have the jack and wheel wrench. *Use headlights at all times to increase your visibility to others. Remember, if your windshield wipers are in use due to weather, then your headlights MUST be on. *Drive prudently. If the conditions are adverse, you should decrease your speed accordingly. *Brake early. *Do NOT use cruise control. This decreases your reaction time to apply braking. *Look out for events farther down the road. Creating more time to react can make a difference. *Be aware of maintenance vehicles and emergency vehicles. Give them room to work. *If you do not absolutely have to go out on the roads, then do not.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for portions of eastern Ohio, the northern WV panhandle, and western PA. Snowfall accumulation of 3 to 6 inches is ...possible across much of the advisory area, with locally higher amounts. Please note a Winter Storm Watch remains in effect for the higher elevations of WV. This will likely become a Winter Weather Advisory or Winter Storm Warning later today as confidence increases. Additional snowfall is likely Monday and Tuesday.
