Gamma Iota Sigma

Earlier in the academic year, Temple University’s Gamma Iota Sigma - Sigma Chapter chose Gift of Life Family House as their Charity of Choice to support through... fundraising in memory of two late alumni, Eric Smith and Kevin Kless. Last week, they presented our Founder and President, Howard M. Nathan, as well as our staff, Eric’s mother Mary, and Arlinda, the recipient of Eric’s kidney and pancreas, with a check totalling $13,000 to support transplant families at the Family House. We are so grateful for their support and partnership!

Our final Wednesday meeting of the semester was a busy one! Rich Henne (Class of 2016), co-founder of Ivory Ella, discussed how he built a successful business from the ground up. We also presented a check of over $13,000 to our charity of choice the Gift of Life Family House. Finally, we said goodbye to our graduating seniors! Best of luck to everyone in their future careers and endeavors outside of Temple University!! It has been a truly great semester!

Today was our last H. Wayne Snider lecture of the semester! John Tribble, Chief Diversity Officer of Church Mutual spoke on the very real positive impact that D&I initiatives create. It was a great way to end a stellar semester of esteemed speakers!

Happy Workshop Monday! Our Actuarial Science majors learned more about Excel functions in their workshop today, while Risk Management majors learned about emerging risks. Huge shoutout to the industry professionals who helped out at the workshops today!
