How this sterile dental practice takes all precautions Due to the Coronavirus, for the past few months, all dental offices in Pennsylvania were restricted to only "life essential" emergency treatment. However, since disease only progresses with delay or lack of treatment, many people are now faced with more serious dental issues. We want everyone to understan...d the importance of taking care of their dental health and that providing these services to you in a safe environment is our priority. For decades, dental practitioners have used PPE (personal protective equipment) such as masks, gloves, protective eyewear, and sterilization and infection control measures that many businesses are just now starting to utilize. With COVID-19, we have expanded these practices further by requiring all staff to wear surgical masks and upgraded the masks our clinical staff wear to Level 3 N95 masks PLUS face shields for certain procedures. And We have always provided hand sanitizer for patients' use. Our large reception area and private operatories allow for proper social distancing. We now have new glass partitions providing safe barriers at our front desk Ultraviolet (UV) germicidal lights to further our sterilization efforts HEPA filtration throughout the office. All patients are screened over the phone and then again in person. Everyone, including staff, has their temperature taken and recorded upon arrival. Please be assured, if you are not sick, the dental office is a safe environment. It is necessary to keep your smile healthy for when our mask-wearing days are over!
