So, you've seen the signs that say 'no shirt no shoes no admittance'? Well, maybe we should each have a sign on our doors that say something like 'do not exit without your armor'. This is a great reminder that we are in a spiritual battle and unseen enemies can be difficult to deal with. We might THINK our friend/neighbor/co-worker/fellow Christian is causing us grief when in fact it is satan trying to cause division, anger, fear, etc. As you get ready to go out the door this morning, put on the FULL armor of God. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=johgSkNj3-A

This is SO me right now! I love how God meets me right where I am with love and encouragement. He reminds me that He knows all things and will use all things for my good and His glory!

This really made me think ~ once David was anointed as King, he could have become prideful and refused to go back to the fields. He didn't. David is called 'a man after God's heart'... he orchestrated the murder of Bathsheba's husband and committed adultery with her... still God loved him and used him... are you seeing this? Overlooked by everyone... chosen by God! (while you were a sinner...)

Did you catch it? Look in the 3rd paragraph..."Tumbleweeds, however, don’t stay connected to their life-source, causing them to dry out and die." Are YOU connected to your life source? Read on ~ "Trees, on the other hand, remain connected to their roots, enabling them to flourish and thrive, anchored to that which will sustain them in times of difficulty."

This was the 1st of 2 messages about 'listening' that came up today. So, I figured I'd better listen... let God speak to your heart right now.

In Mark 16:14-16 we see this command again: "Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." These statements do not just apply to 'missionaries' ... they are for every Christian! You don't have to travel halfway across the world to minister ~ look around you right now. I'm sure there's someone who could use 'the Good News'.

Love the reminder that we are NEVER too dirty, never too lost, never too old for God to not only SAVE us but to USE us. Yes, WHILE I was a sinner, Christ died on that cross for me BUT He doesn't mean for me to stay that way. I will never achieve perfection in this life but by God's grace and mercy I am changing daily. Verse 12: " I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that He considered me trustworthy, appointing me to His service."

"Golden Scars" ~ I like the sound of that. Scars are evidence that we showed up, endured hardship and WON! Yes, if you are reading this today, scars are victories! We look to Jesus' scars and remember that because of them, we are free for eternity! AND free in this life! I struggle every day with being 'strong enough' and then, just like this morning, God reminds me that I don't have to be... He is!

Such a timely message for the atmosphere in our country today. Scripture reminds us that love covers a multitude of sin ~ let's forgive like Jesus did and love one another setting aside our differences, even EMBRACING them... God uses our 'faults' and failures to change us and bring Himself glory... don't be divided! That's what satan wants...
