Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Project SR 422 Sections 19A and 118 in Armstrong County (between Kittanning and Elderton PA) just completed this month! Started February 2018, the $12M dollar project includes 1.74 miles of milling and asphalt overlay of SR 422 and 1.2 miles of total reconstruction, including utility relocations, drainage, and extensive elevation changes to the existing roadway to improve sight distance and safety. GOH performed & provided:... - 125,000 Cubic Yards of excavation - 6,000 Feet of drainage pipe - 5,500 Feet of waterline relocation - 53,000 Tons hot mix asphalt Thanks to our crews...their dedication and hard work.

GOH recently completed work on the Warren County SR 62 project! We wanted to take a moment to share the story...from our regional manager, Mike Hall. This $13 million project was let on September 27, 2018. The project was 7.5 miles in length, starting in Tidioute, PA and heading north towards Warren, PA. ... Work started early 2019 with tree removal, clearing and grubbing. Drainage started in April 2019 and continued into 2020. The project also entailed 30,000 CY of roadway excavation along with 69,000 ton of various aggregates from our Brokenstraw and Sandy Ridge quarries. GOH also performed six large slide correction repairs utilizing Geosynthetic Reinforced Slope Systems. There was also a 978-foot long soldier pile wall which was constructed by GOH structure and piling crews from July 2019 thru September 2019. 34,000 tons of Warm Mix Asphalt were shipped and placed primarily out of our Turtlepoint plant in 2020 with some material also coming out of our Barkeyville plant early in the project. Our Superintendent for the project was Eric Freeman assisted by Foremen Joe Frair, Tom Kleintop, Josh Huey, Scott Hockenberry and Paving Foreman Matt Shall and many more...
