A internal patch is the only permanent way to repair a tire. A traditional string plug is only a temporary repair until you can have it patched properly and also can cause a tire to fail inspection if not done so. We use a pilot wire patch which does two things, first it centers the patch over the center of the puncture and secondly it fills in that puncture to prevent water intrusion into cords. After remounting the repaired tire we always rebalance, torque and then check all of the tires for proper recommend pressures.

The color on this 2021 Model Y is absolutely amazing to see in person After seeing our fair share of S, X, Y & 3 we've had noticed the hub are prone to rusting just like normal internal combustion/hybrid vehicles. So to deter this from occurring we automatically coat them with a high temperature anti-seize to ensure the wheels are flushly mounted and properly torque everytime.
