"No one is more influential in your life than you are, because no one talks to you more than you do. We never stop talking to ourselves. We are in a constant conversation with ourselves about God, others, ourselves, meaning and purpose, identity, and such. The things you say to you about you, God, and life are profoundly important because they form and shape the way you then respond to the things that God has put on your plate. You see, you are always preaching to yourself some kind of worldview, some kind of gospel, if you will. The question is, in your private moment-by-moment conversation, what are you saying to you?" ~ Paul David Tripp, New Morning Mercies "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." ~2 Timothy 3:16

Today's sermon text: Psalm 23 by Rev. Scott Wilson filling the pulpit. The Lord Is My Shepherd A Psalm of David... The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of lthe shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

We welcome Rev. Scott Wilson to our pulpit today. Scott and his wife Shirley attend Lansdale Presbyterian Church where they have served in various capacities since 1994. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. Scott became a ruling elder in 2003, was licensed to preach in the Eastern PA Presbytery in 2010 and was ordained as a teaching elder in 2014. He has served as a chaplain at Grand View Hospital, as a hospice chaplain, and more recently as the chaplain of Spring House Estates, a retirement community in Lower Gwynedd. Today, we welcomed Mr. Bob Hudson to our pulpit. Bob is a member at New Life Church in Dresher, PA and licensed by the Eastern PA Presbytery of the PCA. He’s a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary and lives in Jenkintown, PA with his wife Christi and his two daughters Hannah (5) and Ella (3). He currently works as a marine engineer, but gets most excited about opportunities like these where he gets to preach the word of God.
