Our dental practice supports national efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic as it continues to spread throughout the nation and our community. To keep you and our staff safe during this emergency, we are implementing the following American Dental Association along with The CDC recommendations: When you come to our office for your appointments you will see a few changes that have been implemented: Patients will have access to the bathrooms across the hall, our on suite bath...room will be staff only. Patients should arrive to their appointment and wait in their car, if you part of the text service we will text you when we are ready for you, if you do not please call us from the parking lot and await further instructions Patients MUST wear masks to appointments Patients are asked to bring limited personal belonging with you to the appointment Patients only will be allowed in operatory, you can no longer accompany the patient, unless prior arrangements have been made with office, ie: minors, wheelchairs Patients must answer the COVID prescreening questions prior to their appointment. Patients will be greeted at the door and temperatures will be taken Patients must complete a COVID screening questionnaire upon entry. Patients will be social distanced and some appointment times will be rearranged, you will be contacted prior to the change We ask that any change in insurance or billing questions be emailed to [email protected] to limit patients in office for lengthy times Patients will be asked to wash hands before and after procedures Patients will need to rinse their mouth prior to any procedure being done. With the increase usage of PPE (personal protective equipment) there will be an additional $10 added to each visit, please not most insurances are covering it at this time. All postponed all nonemergent appointmentsincluding dental prophylaxis (hygiene/cleaning procedures) from March-July, We will contact you to reschedule any routine procedures. Dear Valued Patient, June 9, 2020 I hope this finds you and your family well. It is exciting that Chester County is now in the Yellow Zone. The question for us is, How does this affect dentistry? The Department of Health says we can treat patients as we want; being aware of the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). It is ver...y unclear which path to resume dentistry. After discussing with the hygienists and other staff members, we all believe waiting until we have all the equipment to make dentistry as SAFE as possible makes the most sense. Presently, our office has ordered external suction machines (to remove 99.97% of particles) which should be available in early July. These machines were ordered months ago, but understandably have been in high demand. It is my opinion this will make going to our office as safe as possible in the prevention of COVID-19 transmission. If you need to see me for an urgent treatment, I am still available to you now. Please call the office at 610-296-9411. Other treatments that involve minimal aerosol may be performed at this time. Of course, we will be implementing social distancing in our waiting rooms, requesting patients wear masks into the office, monitoring temperatures upon entry into the office, requesting those with COVID-19 or who have been sick to avoid the office, cleaning the patient areas according to CDC recommendations between each patient, and monitoring our own staff’s health and exposure to COVID-19 to prevent the transmission to you, our valued patients. We are eager to start making appointments for routine cleanings and other dental needs in July. We will be opening on a modified work schedule so please understand that some hours will not be available as well as some staff members. Some hygienists will not be returning when we first open. We believe with these changes we will make dentistry as safe as possible. Please be patient with us as we try our best to create a safe environment in this changing time while continuing to strive to perform excellent dental care. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Dr. Bart Graff

Hello ALL! I hope this letter finds you and your families safe and well. My family and the families of our staff here at Graff Family Dental have been healthy and Covid-19 free. Since the State of Pennsylvania has placed the stay at home order in March, dental offices were instructed to perform only emergency dentistry. I have been available for anyone who has needed me during this time, while still following the shutdown guidelines. On Friday May 8th, 2020, the state change...d their guidelines in regards to dentistry. As of now, we can also preform elective procedures that produce minimal aerosols. Aerosols procedures can be performed at this time, if the dentist deems it to be an emergency and all proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is in place. Unfortunately, what is an emergency is very subjective. I have made the decision, for the safety of myself, our staff and more importantly you to be conservative and postpone some elective procedures. Please know we will follow the CDC and OSHA guidelines to the best of our abilities. Given that this virus will impact dentistry and our lives in the future, our practice will continue to be conscious of the changing recommendations. Some procedures will need to be postponed now and completed in the future. I have extensively researched what we here at Graff Family Dentistry will do to ensure your safety and ours, making sure that all visits here are as safe as possible. I believe an external dental suction system is the best solution at this time. The external suction systems I have purchased reduce the aerosols in the air by 99.97%. These systems will be used in our office during all procedures that create aerosols. The combination of the machine along with using PPE, screening our patients, and continuing to socially distance as best we can following all CDC and OSHA guidelines will minimize the chance of Covid-19 transmission. All of you please be safe and we will continue to keep your safety here at our office our number one priority. At this time, we would like to inform you we are estimating a lift of postponing elective aerosol producing procedures until the end of June or the beginning of July, 2020. Until then we are here for all non-aerosol producing elective procedures, emergencies, and questions. Please, if you are uncomfortable or in pain call. Graff Family Dentistry may be reached via email at [email protected] , our text service, or calling the office directly at 610-296-9411. We want to thank you for your continued patience as we navigate together through this time. Dr. Bart Graff Graff Family Dentistry

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when ...you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations. You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example: Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed. You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 610-296-9411 or visit our website at graffdentistry.com. Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends. Sincerely, Dr. Graff and Staff
