Prior to the acceptance of tax bills in Florida beginning on November 1, Grant Street Group completed a six-week implementation of PaymentExpress with the Miami-Dade Tax Collector’s Office. On September 24, the School District of Miami-Dade County, Florida sold a $475 million tax anticipation note on MuniAuction, Grant Street Group’s online municipal bond auction platform. Proceeds from the competitive sale will help the district fund operating expenses for the 2020-2021 school year. Throughout the auction, 12 underwriters submitted 124 bids, extending the end of the sale 18 times, as they repeatedly improved their bids during the last two minutes of the auction. Overall, six firms won a portion of the notes.

Contra Costa County, California will use PaymentExpress to process $400 million per year in e-payments. The switch to PaymentExpress is another example of how our office continues to employ the latest and most innovative technology in order to improve upon the quality of service our taxpayers expect, said Russell V. Summer may be on its way out, but three new employees are on their way in. Deanna, Jack, and Megan all joined us in August. Deanna is the newest Business Analyst on our PaymentExpress team. With a background in English and Theology, Deanna spent the last few years managing institutional partnerships and international student support at a seminary. Jack, also a Business Analyst, joins our TaxSys team. Straight from off-Broadway, he brings a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Thea...tre to Grant Street, along with a passion for collaborative screenwriting. Megan, our newest Project Manager, previously worked in the medical software industry. Before transitioning to project management, Megan earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and worked with patients who’d suffered traumatic brain injuries.
