On this International Social Emotional Learning Day, Grays Ferry Learning Academy is proud to be participating in the AFEL Sesame Project, a joint project between West Philadelphia Action for Early Learning and Sesame Street in Communities funded through the William Penn Foundation. Our theme this week is The Ocean. Today we read In My Ocean and Way Down Deep. We talked about what’s in the ocean. We learned vocabulary (starfish, seaweed, sea shells, and crabs). The class enjoyed painting seashells and using markers to make colorful fish for our ocean mural.

We’re excited to welcome back children, families, and staff as we safely re-open on Monday, June 8, 2020. We want to ease your mind and let you know of the new health and safety guidance we will be implementing: Same person for drop-off and pick-up Hand sanitizing station at entry way Daily temperature checks and health screening for children and staff Children will be escorted to their classroom...
