The Program Manager’s duties focus on management and development of core programs: Mini-Grant Program, Communications, Speakers Series, and Partn...ership Meetings while also facilitating and developing the communications and fundraising subcommittees in coordination with the Friends of the South Mountain Partnership and the Foundation for Enhancing Communities. Additional tasks will include supporting committee members and the director in activities related to additional programs, projects, and events that advance partner work in conservation, land use planning, and climate change planning. While on the #AppalachianTrail it’s not uncommon to hear the sounds of nature’s chorus in the rustling of leaves and branches, the crunching of dirt under our b...oots, and the rhythmic sounds of drumming. Some bird species, like grouse and woodpeckers, create drumming noises through wing clapping and impact to objects, like hollow trees, logs and stumps. The sounds of beating, rapping, and tapping help communicate territory range or are a way to impress a potential mate. What are your favorite bird species that contribute to the symphony of the #AT?
