The building will be referred to as their LIFE Center and it will house their medical clinic as well as some administrative offices. LIFE-NWPA is part of the National Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and is a Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) model option designated by The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an alternative option to nursing ho...me care. During the past month or so Jack Zaphiris and Pete Zaphiris were able to get together and work on a concept for the remodel of the building at 1128 State Street, Erie, PA 16501 (Formerly the Citizens Bank Building). Jack did the design and Pete inputted where he needed to, we think it turned out pretty awesome, what do you think? Pete will now meet with Architects to bring this concept to life over the next few months as Erie freezes over for the winter. Jack is back off to IU Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design where he will complete his masters in architecture and hopefully return home to bring more buildings like this to Erie! Jack is following in his late Grandfather William Zaphiris' footsteps, William was also an architect.

Aidan Zaphiris Mack was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on September 11th, 2020. Since then Aidan has been back and forth from Erie to Pittsburgh on a weekly basis undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Aidan was supposed to be enjoying his junior year, going to homecoming, cheering on Mercyhurst's sports teams and deciding what college he was going to apply to. That all changed this past year and now we will be running or walking a virtual 3k in support of him from ...November 6th - November 13th, 2020. We encourage you to do the same if you do not feel like running or walking the 1.2 miles you can also donate for a chance to win the prizes offered in the event.
