FOR MOTHERS' DAY ON SUNDAY we are launching a brand new jewellery collection made by Mother and Daughter! If you like unique, feminine and fun jewels, you definitely need to check out The Wonderland collection at the Green Drake. Larissa and mom's wonderful pieces make great gifts and can be enjoyed by anyone, across age, race or gender lines.... Their work is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and other Victorian and Gothic novels, using gemstones, fresh water pearl, blackened brass, vintage cameos and other beautiful materials. They also use vintage and local sustainably produced hardware and findings. TODAY IS DERBY DAY 2021 - and a horse and animal month at the Green Drake! Drop by to check out the lovely vintage Waterhouse Horse Collection and beautiful horse and animal paintings. The first picture in the video is of American Secreteriat and the second one (just illustration) is of Hungarian Kincsem - both considered some of the greatest race horses to have ever lived! Kincsem is very special in the history of horse races as she has the most wins of any unbeaten horse i...n the history of the sport, having won 54 races from 54 starts. And she was a mare, too! Another interesting connection is that although Kincsem only ran in Europe, she is a direct female line antecedent of Camelot, winner in 2012 of the 2000 Guineas and the Derby. It's Saturday evening, for the next several hours WSOV FM 101.7 is playing fish songs. A little wet your whistle for the coming fishing season. Artwork compliments of the Green Drake Gallery. If you stop in the Green Drake you can look at all the fish and listen to the songs at the same time. Nothing fishy about that.
