Another instructor for our club is Jeff Halliday. Jeff flew helicopters in the US Army from 1966-1972, including flying missions in Vietnam. In 1972, Jeff earned his CFI and CFII. After earning his CFI ratings, Jeff went to work as a pilot mechanic at a Cessna repair station, working on Citation and Merlin aircraft. From 1989-2015, he worked as an airworthiness inspector for the FAA. From 2015 to present day, Jeff has been a G1000 instructor for CAP (Civil Air Patrol) as well as an instructor for our Greene County Flyers Club! You can reach Jeff at 724-998-6973 if you are interested in flying lessons with him.

Kristie and two of the club members took advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday to do some VFR and IFR training Even had a wildlife sighting! As a pilot if you see anything at all on the runway, you must wait until it clears to take the runway for departure. These are called runway incursions, the goal is always to avoid them!

Such a beautiful day to fly KWAY-G05 with commercial maneuvers over Jefferson along the way! And as always, a pleasure to see Larry and his Taylorcraft out and about!

Another instructor of ours is Kristie Gulley. She decided when she was 3 years old that she was going to be a pilot, now a few () years later she’s living the instructor pilot life! After spending some years in the AF as a mechanic on KC-135’s, she decided it was time to focus on her passion for teaching others to fly and keeping the thrill of aviation alive! She holds CFI, CFII, and MEI.
