Children are the innocent victims of a world created by adults. Be the change these children deserve. Support your local volunteers by donating, participating, or just by thanking them for the sacrifices they make for our community. We can do more when we all work together. Special thanks to the Greene County Sheriff’s Dept. for the aerial photography of the Child Abuse Awareness display. GC Foster Care

April is Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. Please take a moment to consider what each of these children, represented by these pinwheels, has endured. Thanks to all of the staff at GC Foster Care and the CASA volunteer Advocates who give these children a voice. We can do more when we all work together.

On Friday evening, 59 children were outfitted in winter gear including coats, boots, gloves, socks, hats, and blankets. And because of the generous donations from Greene County, we can outfit another 60 children as the winter goes on. We wish to thank all of the people and organizations that made the Light-Up-Night Coat Drive and Distribution a huge success. We can do more when we all work together. Tammy Murdock Davis and the volunteers at Loved Again Charities , MaChal Fo...rbes and the volunteers at Greene County United Way, Domestic Violence Services of SWPA, SAFE Parenting, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, FFA, the Salvation Army, Lou & Mike, First Assembly Church, and CASA of Greene County’s volunteers all worked together to make this event possible. These multi organization events utilize everyone’s strengths and can be the model that will help Greene County keep moving forward. See more

CASA of Greene County was proud to participate in the GC Foster Care Angel Tree program. So many gifts were collected from CASA’s advocates, board members, and staff that we were also able to donate the surplus to the USMC Toys for Tots program. Charities across our county can benefit from working together and from your continued support. We can do more when we all work together.
