Yes, we are still taking orders and when you see how beautiful the Greene County Veterans Memorial Park is, you will want to honor every beloved veteran that you know!
Is this not the most stunning center piece ever?!? It takes your breath away when you see it in person (both sides are engraved)! Greene County Salute to Veterans.....all veterans everywhere....thank you for serving!!
We're getting so close folks....make plans to attend the Memorial Day dedication ceremony of the Greene County Veterans Memorial Park!
More pictures from the escort today by some of Greene County's finest. Thanks Donna Whipkey for sharing your picture with us!
We are getting closer to the dedication ceremony on Monday, May 31 at 2pm!
Progress is being made at the Greene County Veterans Memorial Park. Today we marked the center of where each base will go. Hopefully, they will be delivered this week, cemented to the concrete, able to cure and then the actual walls will be delivered! Stay tuned for more progress..... NOTE: We're still accepting brick orders for future walls. Contact Connie Hart [email protected] for more information.
Thank you for serving our country!
Thank you and welcome home!
All veterans are invited to this event........
Things are getting exciting at the Veterans Memorial Park. The Greene County Salute to Veterans Committee met to lay out where the footers will go for the granite benches and we reviewed the progress to date. Things are really starting to shape up!! Watch this page for updates in the near future as we begin landscaping efforts and placing the benches and then the walls. This is going to be nice folks and a very fitting way to honor our veterans!... The order form is the last picture in this post. Still accepting brick orders for future walls.
The dedication of the Greene County Veterans Memorial Park is on schedule for Monday May 31st at 2pm. As part of the dedication of the memorial park, the VFW Post #4793 will be sponsoring a Field of Flags at the site. Please use the attached flier (right click to print) to sponsor a flag for your favorite veteran(s). Each flag is $5 and orders should be sent directly to the VFW attention: Commander Dave Logan This is going to be a wonderful event, place it on your calend...ar now and plan to join us as we honor veterans past and present. NOTE: We're also continuing to accept brick orders for future walls at the park.
Great progress is being made at the Veterans Memorial Park. The only thing remaining with the pavilion is to pour the floor. Plans are to have the walls placed sometime this spring and the dedication on Memorial Day 2021. Still accepting brick orders for additional walls. Make sure that your special veteran is included. Feeling excited to see this meaningful project come to fruition!
Keeping our troops in our hearts and in our prayers....... https://m.youtube.com/watch
Thank you to ALL veterans!
Thank you and may God bless you!
A day to remember and honor those who serve/served.....
More progress is being made at the Veterans Memorial Park. Grateful for nice weather to pour the sidewalks that will connect the Veterans Memorial Park to the WWI monument and to the Pavilion. A BIG thanks to Commissioner Mike Belding for all his hard work on the committee and especially with obtaining this pavilion for the memorial park. It's going to be very nice!
May God bless our troops who serve and have served so that we may live in freedom.....
Progress is being made at the Memorial Park. Folks may not know that thanks to grant money, we've expanded the plans and will also have a lovely pavilion at the location. This will be a wonderful location for ceremonies, gatherings and a time of remembrance to honor those who have served our country. Stay tuned for more updates....
Saluting our veterans!
