Be on the lookout for ticks this spring/summer! South Central PA is a "hot spot" for ticks. The Township was graciously given 5 of these signs to be placed at the park. Thank you to the PA Lime Association for raising awareness about the dangers of ticks.

In July 2018 a Historic Structure Reuse Study was completed for the Corker Hill Farmstead located along Garver Lane in Scotland. This study was funded by grant money from Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, South Mountain Partnership and funds from Greene Township. The study recommended uses for the property and also immediate work recommendations for the Mansion House. Over the last sixteen months improvements has been made to the Mansion House and surrounding property. The Supervisors want to preserve as much history as possible. If possible we are repairing areas of the Mansion instead of replacing. Please visit our website to view photos of restoration progress, the Historic Structure Reuse Study, and additional information. http://www.twp.greene.franklin.pa.us/greene-township-par//

Due to the warm temperatures in the extended forecast, the ice rink will not be available for use this winter. We apologize, but the weather has not been very cooperative, and we need consistent freezing temps to make ice.

Greene Township follows the Borough's trick or treat schedule, which is always October 31st (unless it falls on a Sunday) and it is rain or shine. We spoke with the Borough this morning, and they will not be rescheduling. If you feel it is unsafe, please stay home. If you live in a development and want to get together with your neighbors to reschedule, feel free to do so. There are a few developments that have done that already. It is up to the parents to decide if they want to venture out with their kids this evening. If you feel it is unsafe, please stay home or visit a safe indoor event.
