WE DID IT! Thanks to you, we hit the mark with the #GivingTUesday Challenge. Our Temple University Aquaponics OwlCrowd project saw the 2nd highest number of don...ors of all the projects, which means we get an additional $500 from an anonymous donor's pledge! Now, we are *so close* to hitting our goal for the entire campaign. We know we will get there! #ThankYou #Grateful #OwlCrowd #Teamwork #TempleProud

Help us cultivate future engineers and programmers! Please consider supporting our 45 day (37 days left!) OwlCrowd campaign to raise funds for a 3D printer. Temple Engineering is working with our Aquaponics program to teach STEM concepts to Philadelphia high school students. Any contribution is appreciated!

Thank you to the American Water Charitable Foundation for providing an employee grant to make these upgrades for clean water for the AAALAC aquaponics research ...lab fish possible. New upgrades to our AAALAC aquaponics research lab for fall include a window tank so visitors can see the fish and a clarifier for cleaner water. The fish waste... collected by the clarifier can sustainably be reused as garden fertilizer. What did Michael and Bert do? They dismantled the existing barrel system. The grow beds were upgraded for better aeration of the plant roots. Growing now are sweet potatoes, turmeric and roses. The clarifier was purchased with a grant by the American Water Charitable Foundation for social media employee volunteer work by Janet Bavas to our organization. www.amwater.com Follow us over the next few weeks for more updates and to see how much cleaner the water is with this upgrade made possible by American Water.
